The idea of starting a consulting firm began in 2020, as Colby observed businesses across the globe juggle learning how to simultaneously work remote and continue to grow in a new, almost all-remote market. Then, as businesses began to 'return to normal', they were met with a workforce that had a new taste of work-life balance and wasn't willing to go back to the way things were.
As someone who has held project-related roles with Fortune 500 and 100 companies, as well as #GreatPlaceToWork certified companies, Colby has seen how companies sometimes view employees as merely a means to achieving growth, instead of an included, integrated part of the growth strategy. The 'doers' are the heart of every company and need to be involved when strategizing company growth, but effectively communicating between leadership and the doers can often be difficult.

In 2022 Colby provided freelance consulting for several small companies that were beginning their entrepreneurial journey on the east coast, focusing on business growth strategy development and brand marketing. In July of 2022 she built the Creative Ascension brand, and in August 2022 Creative Ascension Services, LLC was born.

Our CEO holds a master's degree in Public Relations, with over a decade of experience providing process improvement, marketing, and PR strategies for local associations, Fortune 500 and 100 companies, and companies that are Great Place to Work certified. Her passion is identifying strategies that make small businesses thrive.
Keeping our office running smoothly and efficiently, our Operations Assistant comes with a diverse background in Administration, IT, Distribution, and Leasing. Her experience spans from working for the state of Florida to assisting local small businesses, and to lead roles in global organizations. She is passionate about getting creative to relay a message, whether in writing or graphically.
